Liverpool have made contact with Ibrahima Mbaye’s new agent Jorge Mendes

 

Mbaye also has proposals from Bundesliga clubs  giving priority to LFC project. Deal was close with Leipzig but collapsed after Diomande PSG off.

The transfer race surrounding Paris Saint Germain young sensation Ibrahima Mbaye has taken another major twist with the involvement of Super agent Jorge Mendes. Liverpool have officially initiated contact with Mendes, who has recently taken over representation of the highly coveted Senegal international. 

With multiple elite European sides circling to secure the teenager's signature, the introduction of one of football's most influential dealmakers is expected to fast track discussions over a summer exit from the Parc des Princes.

While Liverpool face concrete competition from several Bundesliga clubs including sides like RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund the player himself is heavily prioritizing a move to Anfield. 

Mbaye has reportedly given a positive indication regarding Liverpool's ambitious project, viewing the Premier League giants as the ideal environment to accelerate his development and secure regular first team opportunities that have been limited in the French capital.

The landscape of the winger's market shifted dramatically following complications in separate negotiations. A potential deal that would have taken Mbaye to RB Leipzig was reportedly close to completion, but ultimately collapsed after parallel talks involving Yan Diomandé's potential switch between Leipzig and PSG fell through. 

That breakdown forced all parties back to the drawing board, clearing the runway for other suitors like Liverpool to reengage directly with the player's new management team.

As reported by Fabrice Hawkins, formal talks between the interested parties are now set to accelerate in the coming days. Paris Saint Germain command a strong valuation for their academy product, but with Mendes actively pushing for a resolution and the player's clear desire to move to Merseyside, negotiations are entering a crucial phase as Liverpool weigh up whether to launch an official bid.
